Okinii Köln in Cologne

Great restaurant! Very cozy and very good food, everything freshly prepared. During my time in Cologne, I often went to eat there with my girlfriend.

I hope I can eat here again next year. The portions are the right size so you can try a bit of everything. The price is not cheap but it is reasonable. When the restaurant is very full, one or the other is forgotten. If you ask the staff about it, you will get it delivered immediately. Shouldn't happen if possible, therefore 1 star deduction, otherwise highly recommended.

Extensive and high-quality selection, also for non-sushi eaters. Very nice service. It was a pleasure.

3 stars go for the environment and service. Some hot dishes were arriving already cold. There is not so many sushi variety and the sushi quality was just ok.

Everything we ordered was exceptionally tasty and there quickly. We hardly got behind ? Anytime again ??

The selection is huge and the dishes delicious. Since we were no longer allowed to order after almost 2 hours, you feel rushed. Sometimes the warm dishes were cold. But all in all, a successful evening.

Good service

Half of the food we ordered was just not good. Not really bad, but from the amount of people, the price and the interior we would have expected more. The other half of the food was just ok. And it's sad you cannot order these special champagne and wine bottles which are on display. (Understandable as it would have anyways not fit the quality of the food.) Waiters - except from one - were slow, not attentive and kinda smashed the plates on our table.

Way overpriced and overrated. Service was just ok, sushi was poor and the other dishes war ok. Drinks were fine.

Food great, service flop. The food, as usual from Okinii, was great. Unfortunately, the lame and not attentive service clouded the otherwise good impression - and the service of a restaurant makes a considerable part (50%) of the overall impression for me. With a good will therefore 3 stars.

Ambience and service are great. Have been to Okinii a few times and yesterday very disappointed with the sushi. Quality of the fish and also the taste e.g. from rice cannot keep up with other sushi restaurants. It's a shame that the quality of the fish is not right at this price, the tuna was gray and the salmon wasn't tender either. So next time we'll go somewhere else for sushi, but the warm dishes were really good.

Great food. Friendly service. Pleasantly relaxed lounge atmosphere. Everything was nice and clean. A great price / performance ratio. Reservations in advance are definitely recommended for dinner.

Delicious. The staff is great. The toilets always clean and no unpleasant smells. Always happy ... My favorite sushi restaurant.

Two years ago, quality, service and value for money were okay. Unfortunately, it didn't taste good last night and the price was not reasonable. However, the service was courteous, hence two points. Probably won't be back.

My absolute favorite restaurant! I've been here several times and I'm always very satisfied. Sure you have a bad day when everything doesn't go perfectly, but that's human. The food and the desserts are delicious! My tip: the young beans! Ideal for in between while waiting!

All you can eat in the ordering system. You can choose 5 "dishes" per round. Sushi, fried and co. Very tasty, portions are very large. After the 2nd round we were already quite full, so don't order too much. The service was good, everything arrived quickly.

The concept is great, the food was hot when it came. However, yes there is a "But". The staff is over worked, whatever system their using for tracking isnt working. A few times we got things we didnt order, and after i paid a few things we did ordered finally came. Maybe assigning 1waiter to 3 tables max. It gets hectic for the waiters and you can clearly see they were struggling to put the proper dishes at the proper tables.

Just a pure disappointment. The sushi wasn't fresh Just like the other dishes. It's really a miracle that everything you could eat was just disgusting. Never before had such a bad sushi all you can eat in your life. Even the mochi as a dessert tasted out of date - among other things, you could tell from the consistency. Maybe Okinii used to be fresh and tasty - but unfortunately I can't recommend it to anyone at the moment.

Great atmosphere, great food with options for any form of nutrition, very hygienic.

I'm a very big fan of Okinii, which unfortunately only exists in Cologne. Whenever I am there I pay a visit and have never been disappointed. I know and love the entire menu and can warmly recommend it. I always made spontaneous reservations and got a seat. I look forward to next time.

August 2018 - Italians, if you plan to come here because you think of our Japanese all you can eat restaurants, you are wrong. It is not like us. There is little choice in comparison. Few dishes. It costs a lot and beware that some fish dishes are off the menu! Unfortunately, we paid. We realized it too late. (And in my opinion they are also the best dishes ?) The tempura: they are three pieces on the cross. The fish is good but it costs money, there is very little choice and you pay for the best dishes. They serve ramen cold / lukewarm. The cooks are not oriental. There is not much oriental except a poor copy. We didn't like it.

Food was okay. But price-performance ... well For example, if 2 people at the table order noodles, they are packed in a bowl and you have to discard it. For example, business partners not so the golden of the egg.

Good cuisine, delicious food. But it's easy to misjudge the crowd. Professional tip: Better to order less and do everything for it;)

Good

Reservation always works without problems and is also uncomplicated with larger groups. The selection of dishes is very large and everyone has their own taste. The staff are very friendly and polite. Most of the money is spent on drinks, which can be between 3 and 6 euros - everything with alcohol on average 10 euros. I like to go here for smaller occasions, such as a birthday or a reunion with old friends, as you can always chat well over dinner and get to know new things together. The atmosphere is actually quite sociable and modern at the same time and the milieu here is rather young. Personally I wish that some music would play in the background that could even lift the mood.

portion is okay for the price for the brand I was expecting more „good original taste“ than just a good ambience.. salmon sashimi quality was good the kimchi today was not edible...super disappointed but the matcha eis made it better :)

Quite a nice place due to the fancy atmosphere. The sushi buffet costs around 28 euros and includes many types of sushi, finger food, tepanyaki etc. For the price I was expecting more, the staff was extremely slow, and you could see rushed with some food hence the burned gyozas, even though the restaurant was almost empty. Friendly staff and you will find someone that speaks English for sure.

I went there with my family.A great restaurant,I loved the atmosphere.The waiter are really nice.The food was really good but it was a bit too expensive for me.I’m really disappointed that I couldn’t order more than 15 meals in a minute,I wish it was more.The food could be a bit more fresh but it was well.The waiters were really fast and I received my meals very fast.It was a bit annoying,that the meals were very small because I wanted a bit more but I heard it’s normal in the Japanese culture to eat in small portions because food should be an experience and should be enjoyed.I want to go there soon.

Very good food. Octopus fried dumplings definitely too try. Possibly a little confusing ordering at first, but functional, once you get hold of it.

I don’t like that place so much, I don’t think the food quality is that good.

I'm sorry to say this but the tuna just wasn't up to it and the sashimi isn't part of the all you can eat. Which is the first time I see this in a sushi restaurant. Look at the colour difference between the tuna in the maki and the one on the nigiri... The staff was friendly though. Returned 2 years later and was greeted by a rude flamboyant person who told us “you have to wait 10 minutes” that was literally what he said !! - so I said could we sit at the lounge to wait please ? Then he replied : “yes this is what a lounge is for” with the biggest fake smile I’ve bet seen , and the lounge was full of overperfumed teenage girls ?‍♂️this is certainly my last time this time I promise !

Not bad but not outstanding. Food could be fresher and better. I recommend Nagoya restaurant instead.
